San Bernardino Valley College celebrated its 100th anniversary with a successful Centennial Gala on March 27, raising more than $1 million to support student success. The “Centennial Journey”-themed event brought together community leaders, alumni, and supporters for an evening of giving, celebration, and reflection.

The evening was made possible through the generosity of key partners and sponsors, including Bank of America, Amazon, the Trust of Bill & Gloria Harrison, Stater Bros. Charities, and the Pinky & Joe Brier Foundation.

Notable contributions included support from Stater Bros. Charities, which will benefit the Valley 360 Resource Center (Food Pantry), helping address students’ basic needs. The Pinky & Joe Brier Foundation also committed to a $500,000 matching grant over five years. The SBVC Foundation aims to raise the matching $500,000 within that timeframe, creating an endowed scholarship fund of at least $1 million to support women and underserved students pursuing aviation careers.

Guests enjoyed a unique experience featuring classic cars, live music, auctions, and a tribute to SBVC’s 100-year legacy. The event also honored 15 individuals for their outstanding service to the college and community.

More than a celebration of SBVC’s rich history, the Centennial Gala marked a significant step forward in building long-term support for future generations of students.
