Board Nomination

The San Bernardino Valley College Foundation is now accepting nominations for new Board Directors.

Who do you know who is ready to lead?

Since 1973, the SBVC Foundation has supported San Bernardino Valley College in achieving its mission and vision. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation raises funds for College programs and student scholarships. Every year, the SBVC Foundation awards more than $200,000 in scholarships to SBVC students.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who provide oversight and resources. Because of each Director's commitment, SBVC is better able to serve its students and community.

Nominees for the SBVC Foundation Board must be at least 18 years old and have an interest in supporting San Bernardino Valley College. A strong candidate is someone who is interested in supporting SBVC, is committed to good causes in the Inland Empire, and has the capacity to contribute and/or bring in contributions to the SBVC Foundation in the amount of $1,000 or more per year. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Please consider nominating yourself or another community leader.

After review by the SBVC Foundation Board Development Committee, nominees will be contacted with an invitation to SBVC for additional information and a campus tour. A final slate of candidates will be presented to the SBVC Foundation Board, and newly-elected Directors begin their three-year terms on July 1.

You are encouraged to nominate yourself. If you have any questions, please contact the SBVC Foundation at (909) 384-4471 or sbvcfoundation@valleycollege.edu.
