Saturday, Nov. 22 will mark a historic milestone in the 100-year history of San Bernardino Valley College athletics — the first time every fall sports team will compete in postseason play on the same day.

The achievement became official earlier in the week when playoff pairings were announced for SBVC’s soccer and volleyball programs. Victories by both the men’s and women’s soccer teams in their opening-round matches on Wednesday made the accomplishment even more remarkable for the Wolverines.

Saturday’s full day of competition begins in Fresno, where the men’s and women’s cross-country teams will race in the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships at Woodward Park. The women’s 5K starts at 10 a.m., followed by the men’s 4-mile race at 11 a.m.

At 5 p.m., SBVC football returns to postseason action for the first time since 2019, facing Antelope Valley College in the Western State Bowl — a rematch of their close Week 1 contest, which Antelope Valley narrowly won, 33-28.

Meanwhile, the women’s soccer team will continue its playoff run at 5 p.m., taking on top-seeded Saddleback College in South Orange County.

Back on campus, the women’s volleyball team will make its third straight postseason appearance, hosting College of the Canyons in an opening-round match at 6 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym.

Capping off the night, SBVC men’s soccer will travel to Mt. San Antonio College for a 7 p.m. matchup.

Admission for all 3C2A postseason events is $12 for general admission and $8 for seniors, children (12 and under), students (with ID), and SBVC faculty and staff.
